Also, this is incorrect. They test for the levels in your system. After appropriate treatment it will not be at the proper level to be diagnosed as Lyme disease, but it CAN remain in the system. Glad you did your 2 mins of research though.

Idk why people are acting like I don’t know what I’m talking about. I’m literally a medic and did my research on this topic before commenting on it. Any doctor will tell you that the bacteria causing Lyme disease will not persist after appropriate use of antibiotics 😭

Additionally, this take being from a “medic” is even more upsetting and honestly scary. Lyme disease is already tough enough to get diagnosed without the tick. Healthcare professionals denying how it manifests is NOT what we need.

This take is upsetting. If Lyme disease isn’t caught early, it can have lifelong repercussions and it can become very difficult to treat. Watching somebody go through that much pain just to hear people say it doesn’t exist is tiresome.
