Honestly, is anyone surprised? Aliyev's entire rule is based upon authoritarian militarism towards Armenia. Even if Armenia gave them these villages tomorrow (which it won't- Azerbaijan also holds one de jure Armenian enclave), he would simply find something else.

The situation now in Nagorno-Karabakh is very simple. Local authorities have surrendered, and Azerbaijan is in the process of carrying out mass ethnic cleansing of the 120,000 people there. Either speak up about it or shut the fuck up about human rights forever.

The mayor of Sar Aghpur village in Artsakh was able to rush all the children out during Azerbaijan’s shelling of the town. They all made it out alive, except one child who passed away — his own son. This is just one of the heartbreaking stories of this siege.

Massive crisis is currently unfolding here as over 50,000 people have been displaced in Artsakh. A humanitarian corridor is need now to save the lives of these people.
