Killers of The Flower Moon and The Irishman are what happens when a director who spent his whole career being accused of glorifying violence finally responds and just spells out for you what he’s been saying this whole time
Got into Dubai late last night. Opened up my curtains in my hotel this morning to what I now know is the largest single site natural gas power generation facility in the world. Fitting. I am going to stare at this through the haze of pollution for two weeks. Welcome to #cop28.
The documentary I helped produce, ISRAELISM, is available for rental this week. It is an important story well told by my colleagues.

Almost too obvious to be stated, but tying Jewish safety to support for the pariah state circling the drain of fascism into a black hole of death and destruction doesn’t seem good for Jewish safety
I watched #Israelism last night and it's a huge achievement.
In this moment when families and friendships are breaking apart over Israel/Palestine, the film can be a bridge.
If you are headed home this week, take a break from fighting and watch it together. Minds might change.
BREAKING: @RepRaskin just called for a cessation of hostilities and #ceasefireNOW in Gaza. This is big. Thank you, Congressman, for your leadership on ending this horrific humanitarian crisis that’s already claimed the lives of over 12,000 civilians. https://t.co/aHIf6EHwsa
Anne Boyer has resigned as the poetry editor of the New York Times magazine: “Because our status quo is self-expression, sometimes all artists have left is to refuse. So I refuse.”
Perhaps I’m missing something but i’m pretty sure the open and brazen antisemitism in recent days from right wing media figures with huge followings, like Kirk, Tucker Carlson, and Elon Musk, should be a bigger story. Or is everyone only focusing on college students on campuses?
Ann Kirschner publicly stated that she has not seen the film, and her statements which associate us with bigotry and antisemitism are not only deeply offensive to us as Jews whose families have fled violent antisemitism, but also absurd and defamatory.

She goes on to say ‘ In the current climate, we seek to balance our commitment to free speech and academic freedom with the danger of antisemitic and divisive rhetoric.’

In Hunter President Ann Kirschner’s statement, she says ‘We seek constructive dialog that avoids targeting any students, faculty, or staff based on their identity: the essence of bigotry.’

We have just found out that in response, the Hunter Senate has courageously voted to reverse this decision, and demand that Hunter screen Israelism.

Over the past days, there has been a malicious and defamatory smear campaign against our film ISRAELISM, resulting in the cancellation of a screening at Hunter College, which was supposed to take place last night.

BREAKING: @Hunter_College Senate votes in favor of screening Israelism after @HunterPresident Ann Kirschner cancels screening yesterday
Kirshner is trying to censor Jewish voices, while falsely claiming that such censorship projects Jews

Israelism is on the front page of The @guardian today.
We’ve always known our film tells the critically important story of American Jewish transformation, and the world has officially taken notice. Much more press coming soon.
