I think what bums me out the most is living through the early 2000s punk wave , hearing all my favorite bands rightfully shit all over bush . Only to go radio silent when obama got elected. Then magically find their voice whenever trump got elected.

Im consistently surrounded by people who I sometimes genuinely like that are fully convinced that if we just elect a left leaning president next time around things will change and their standard of living will improve

The standard of living for regular people has consistently gotten worse. Its just insane to me that these people are so willing to memory hole things once they get their guy in. And yes Republicans do the same thing, but typically they're boomers .

The criticism nearly stops. The problem here is the criticism is often valid but its not genuinely a left or right thing its a corrupt government thing. I saw this directly after Bush when obama got elected and its been nearly the same shit every election cycle. All the while

But I do find it interesting that these people seem to do this every election cycle that a Republican is in office. They point out all the failures of what they label specifically the fault of a Republican administration and then whenever a Democrat candidate is elected.
