Whenever you see Americans fantasize about their ideal life, it’s something like “I invent/discover/do something great that makes me rich and I become successful.” Certain others fantasize about contributing nothing and being a leech on others. Cultural differences I guess.
I see interceptions as the cost of good QB play the same way strikeouts are the cost of good power hitting in baseball. Swinging for the fences means swinging and missing sometimes.
Food for Thought:
Some QBs play with one main goal: don't throw INTs, because they look bad on the stat sheet.
We as fans need to stop rewarding this.
You're lying to yourself if you're content with a puppet QB who limits turnovers but can't create beyond the system.
Look at the greats. They didn't become great by eliminating turnovers. They became great by moving the ball and staying well above net positive overall.
Career INTs per game: • Brady: 0.63 • Peyton: 0.94 • Marino: 1.04 • Allen: 0.73
Through 2.5 seasons in the NFL, Drake Maye is at 0.70.
Maye doesn't have a "turnover problem" like some pundits say. He's just a QB who actually throws the ball past the sticks, and the occasional INT is the cost of doing that.
@SomniaVtube Seeing someone as a potential partner is not seeing less of you, it’s seeing more of you. I’ve had women friends I’ve thought of that way and plenty I haven’t, and the ones I haven’t, it’s because, to put it extremely bluntly, there’s something wrong with them.
I love my wife, but if you accept the label of “wife guy” online, a Mesopotamian wind demon is summoned that causes you to abandon your career and family for the dumbest reasons imaginable.
@MKULTRAMISH People are dunking on this but it totally makes sense:
Lower end graphics card: 240
Budget case: 60
Power supply: steal it
Ram: steal it
Motherboard: steal it
Storage: steal it
Cooling: steal it
CPU: steal it
Some of y’all just don’t know how to budget 🙂↔️
.@Sean_McAdam was told not to expect any significant changes to the Red Sox coaching staff. If any, it will be names lower on the food chain.
Also, McAdam noted that Craig Breslow was told he could not hire “big name coaches” because of what’s being paid to the previous staff.
Hal Steinbrenner is asked if he'd be in favor of a salary cap in MLB:
"I helped craft the proposals that we have given at the bargaining table, and I support those proposals in their entirety. That should answer your question."
@patriach2051 And after burning the man to death, the children realized that they still needed to get bread or end up dead, and they’d done nothing except kill the man who was providing them an avenue for said bread.
@nickygsmustache Yeah I bet the dodgers would definitely rather have Freeman than Elly or Witt or PCAz
To answer the question, Elly, Carroll, PCA, Wood, Crochet, Sanchez, Sale. Fill in the rest with bums and this team dog walks the dodgers, you know, like the 19th payroll brewers just did?
@Steve_Perrault He’s gonna be somersaulting around first by game 3 of the World Series. Game 5 he’s gonna have a marching band come out and he’ll lead them around the bases.
“What if you just gave an Olympic sprinter a few weeks to learn how to bunt and had him do it every time” was one of those baseball thought experiments we all turned our noses up at, but now we have Chandler Simpson, and yeah, kinda.
Cade Smith, after giving up a HR to Junior Caminero then watching him take his time around the bases while celebrating in an exaggerated manner: “It's not my style but I guess if I don’t like it, I shouldn’t give up home runs.”
