@knowsworthy Western gaming is crashing because they stopped seeing the customer as the ultimate stakeholder. Costs went up while actual value delivered went down. AAA games launched broken and were aimed at a demographic that doesn’t actually buy games. Also, DCV.
@EndymionYT@ELDENRING Your luck with randoms sounds absolutely terrible. Haven’t had any such issues. Sometimes a person here or there dies, including myself, but it doesn’t stop us from making it through the night. Also, stick with at least until you beat the 1st Nightlord.
@ELDENRING Anyone else finding that matchmaking AFTER beating the 1st Nightlord takes forever, whereas it was less than a minute BEFORE. I guess a whole lot of people are still stuck on the 1st. Keep going!
@ELDENRING Matchmaking after beating the first Nightlord seems really slow or it’s specific to which Nightlords you select. You would think selecting all of them would put you in a bigger pool, but it might be the opposite.
I’m leaning towards #MarioKart9 being open-world. At 1:56, in the upper right, you can see a slightly different shaped rock formation/mountain with what appear to be trees on it, perhaps suggesting a transition to a new biome over there.
@silentxwaltz Honestly, I don’t know why the industry has settled on 4K. I think 1440p offers enough of a jump in crispness and detail over 1080, without having to process 4x the amount of data. At 1440p, there’s far more resources left to improve image quality in other ways.
@madcap412 For me, the game feels like a callback to their very first FP game when they were all at Starbreeze and made Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay. Very different themes, style and feel, but the gameplay beats are very similar. Exploration, stealth and fun fisticuffs!
@RoytaMustDie Nah, it’s just not your cup of tea, so don’t sweat it! I quite like the game so far, but I’m still in the first major area, so who knows how I will feel in the end.
@ImSamyBoy@YoYoItsNova Me, too. I’ve got combat on the hardest difficulty, and haven’t had issues so far. I’m still early in the game, so perhaps I just haven’t encountered this yet. Everything is still fisticuffs so far, and I’ve had a lot of fun. Doesn’t negate the criticism, just my experience.
@Dansgaming Beating the last two movies combined is not a high bar to reach, so that may not mean much to others. Still, I’ve been thoroughly impressed with what I’ve experienced so far. As soon as I stop gawking at the Sistine Chapel, I’ll get back to the story.
@GundamIsHere The only way to salvage this is to ignore it. If BioWare survives, perhaps they can pull a Dallas Season 9 type of move, where the next DA has Varric recalling the events of VG when Cassandra calls him on his BS, and then we pick up with the Inquisitor after Trespasser.
@GamesCage_ Considering Playtonic is made up of the brilliantly deranged minds that brought us Conker’s Bad Fur Day, this level of cheekiness is pretty true to form.
@FirstDescendant The normal difficulty Devourer needs to be toned down. I've been on more than a dozen teams that seem to know what to do, and we just can't get it done. We'll get really close, and then he enrages a third time right at the end of the match. I can't move on with the damn game.
@ZZZ_EN I can't get past the title screen on my PC. It keeps downloading 335 MB then verifying the same download before forcing me to restart and watch the whole process again. Stuck in a loop. Emptying the cache doesn't work. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't work either.
