@zukaketawagase (Sorry for writing in English!) I wish, but in US anime is mostly only popular with huge series. But I have been telling everyone I know about it and everyone who has watched it absolutely loves it. And this is my personal favorite show of the year. You all should be so proud.

When I think of hardcore otaku now I think mostly of people who keep up with seasonal anime releases and also try to watch/have already watched a lot of the best older shows.

@sangivstheworld @VK_HM That's an interesting perspective, but I do feel like there are plenty of people and communities who keep up with the medium because they love it (an animation as an artform more generally) and also don't guzzle down hundreds of episodes of isekai slop every year.
