He was written contradictory because bc he’s a foreign spy on a mission and you’re not supposed to have any idea in the same way you’re not yet supposed to know abt his personality disorder because it ties into him being an honorary marleyan, it’s all very obviously calculated

@redrummarts @Anti_P0litical Maybe it wasn’t clear to you the viewer because the Marley trio’s true intentions were intentionally hidden without foreshadowing so we’d be as caught off guard as Eren was when Reiner revealed their identities. “Other ppl are the enemy all along” was always the intention-
