Joe Iacobucci, the new VP of transit innovation for the Beltline, will lead the "design & delivery of transit"
While at TYLin International, Iacobucci worked on a team to evaluate transit modes for the Beltline..."TYLin favored autonomous shuttles"

This is a great question to ask every councilmember! Is the BeltLine a failure without rail! Let’s see who is willing to publicly agree with @LilianaforATL…..who is absolutely right!
I believe that the Beltline is a failure without rail.
If we do not do the hard work and we continue to kick this can down the line, then we are building progress on clay legs.
Transit innovation would be figuring out how to deliver Beltline rail at a faster pace so the Eastside, which is most ready for it, and the Southside both get it. And faster builds for safe streets.
Innovate with procurement and delivery. Not with untested technologies.
It’s easy to make promises……
This is why it’s so important to hold electeds accountable. Track their promises. Question them.
Mayors Like to Promise the Moon. Only a Few Get Close https://t.co/MhjR6eBDUf
Folks want BeltLine rail. I remember going to a MARTA presentation on MoreMARTA in O4W when they wanted to pass the sales tax increase. Folks were suspicious and finally MARTA said if you want to fund BeltLine rail, here’s how. Let’s keep our promises. @beltlinerailnow
53% of citywide respondents in a 2018 survey, 2 years following More MARTA’s passing, picked Eastside BeltLine Rail as a top 3 project to be funded by More MARTA.
@JoelMBeall At some point it seems like it would smarter for PIF to drop LIV and sponsor an influencer tour with Bryson doing cameos and just beef up the Asian Tour
When I lived in DC, I’d take the bus to Rock Creek, walk from the Smithsonian metro station to East Potomac, make friends with strangers on the X2 metro bus to Langston. These courses brought together folks from all walks of life. We should all hope the good work of NLT continues

This is a story about my brother, Mike McCartin. I’m convinced that if the President, his administration, and his supporters actually understood why Mike started The National Links Trust, they wouldn’t be trying to kill it. They’d be backing it.
Mayor Andre Dickens’ administration successfully gutted legislation to restrict how the city can spend its Affordable Housing Trust Fund.
“I feel like we’ve moved in the opposite direction of what this was intended to do,” Councilmember Alex Wan said.

The @ChattahoocheeNP @tpl_org Riverlands project gives me hope for Atlanta and our needed connectivity to nature and outdoor recreation! It could truly be a game changer, particularly if connected to the actual City. https://t.co/IEOess1rQq
@Urban_Connector Bill Kennedy Way wasn’t originally going to have that trail until the Southside was built. The community convinced ABI to move forward with an important interim connection. So there’s precedent
@HowEPhil And what happens when we get a new mayor in 4 years who has different priorities for the TAD revenue? What’s to prevent projects from dying like the Streetcar East Extension?
@jjcroftiv@HowEPhil How many of them drove to the BeltLine? How many of them are using it for leisure vs transportation? It also speaks to the lack of walkable places in Atlanta. People literally drive to the BeltLine. We should make more of the City be as pleasant to walk.
