This is a textbook example of how mass incarceration happens. Law enforcement officer makes baseless claim about what's driving crime in order to buttress law enforcement power in effort to stop exactly the kind of reform that would actually work to improve public safety.

Edwards was decidedly wrongly and irrationally decided; all meaningful forms of justice require that Edwards be given relief for his conviction by a Jim Crow jury. But even rightly decided, I don’t see how any of this contemplates restorative justice. (10/10)
