Iowa corn farmer leaders were in attendance today at the Iowa Capitol to witness @IAGovernor Reynolds sign the E85+ on-farm tax excise bill, farm to faucet water quality initiative and the Iowa Farm Act. Thank you, Governor for your support of Iowa agriculture. 🌽
ICGA celebrates the U.S. House of Representatives’ passage of nationwide, year-round #E15 legislation. Thank you to @RepFeenstra, Rep. @ZachNunn, @RepAshleyHinson@RepMMM for their support and continued dedication. Read more ⬇️

$1.49 a gallon‼️
Fuel Time, in St. Ansgar, Iowa, is selling E85 at nearly HALF the national avg of $2.98/gal. They can keep prices low thanks to local IRFA member Absolute Energy.
If you drive a Flex Fuel vehicle, this one might be worth the trip!

Lower prices at the pump shouldn’t be seasonal. 🌽⛽️ Make year-round permanent so drivers get more affordable fuel options and farmers get a stronger market year-round. #E15

@JBorn1975@IAGovernor No, I didn't say that. Yes, ethanol creates an important market for U.S. farmers and ensures we can still have small family farms. Based on how you draw wild conclusions I assume you support bringing back the farm crisis of the 1980's.
@Maxwell_pringle@IAGovernor@fuelinggood It is a federally mandate label that the oil industry got passed years ago. He was pointing out that over 97% cars can use E15 today but keep grasping at straws and offering no evidence to your original statement.
@Maxwell_pringle@IAGovernor Good job on deflecting on my simple question. Since you bring it up I was a FTE for IRFA and now for ICGA. Iowa law requires any employee of a organization that advocates for their members to register. Happy to support Iowa most important industry and our farmers/ethanol plants.
@JBorn1975@IAGovernor Ethanol is the lowest cost, highest form of octane in the market plus has none of harmful aspects of petro based aromatics. The oil industry has been subsidized for over a century while putting up barriers to entry for any potential compeitor. FYI corn prices aren't high...
@MidwestRide@MECorliss@IAGovernor EPA has rated any vehicle 2001 or newer for E15 i.e. 97% of cars. On fuel efficiency you can get a slightly better MPG with a lower ethanol blend but cost per mile is much better with ethanol especially at $1.20 difference. FYI Japan is moving to a E20 standard in next 15 years.
@HawkeyeChad1216@IAGovernor Has lower cost per mile than lower ethanol blends of gaosline and some studies even show E15 having better mileage depending on your car model.
@JBorn1975@IAGovernor The federal government hasn't had a ethanol specific tax credit/incentive for well over a decade unlike other forms of energy. Ethanol = lower prices at the pump and as important, true energy independence.
@MECorliss@IAGovernor E15 is the most tested fuel in U.S. history and some studies even show certain car models get better mileage verse lower ethanol blended fuel. In fact, 97% of cars can use E15 today without issue and they all will recevied lower cost per mile with E15.
