@penshurstbooks@BBGreatMoments To be fair, I think the expectation has changed too. Analytics are telling managers to go to the bullpen earlier than decades ago so starting pitchers are expected to go hard for the 5-6 innings they play.
@Patriot3Artt@BBGreatMoments Less pitches is also likely leading to the increase in average speed of fastballs. Pitchers with tired arms pitch slower balls.
@Patriot3Artt@BBGreatMoments You know this season set a new record for the average fastest speed for 4-seam fastballs, right? It is not video games, it is analytics telling managers to go to the bullpen in the 5th inning, meaning less pitches for a pitcher during his career.

@BhaShaSpeaks@India_Policy In the US, most of the rail lines are used almost exclusively for freight. The average freight train is 1 mile long with total locomotive HP rating of ~12,000 HP. This translates to about 9000 kW electrical demand per train.

@NeoAvocado@elonmusk Poor design. The largest nuclear power plant in the U.S. (Palo Verde) sits in the middle of the desert in Arizona and uses recycled waste water. If they can figure out how to safely run a nuclear plant in the desert, water should never be an issue for a well designed plant
@TomBurg33600765@elonmusk Sure there is a voltage difference, but no current. Try putting a light bulb there instead of a multimeter and see what happens.
