The Duke Blue Devils have won 8 games in a row dating back to last season.

That’s the 5th-longest active winning streak in the FBS. They’re the reigning ACC Champion.

They’re 4-0 this year, went on the road to B1G Illinois and won, destroyed 2-2 Stanford 35-7 (Miami beat Stanford 45-6), beat Tulane by 14, and have one of the best running backs in the country.

Not good enough for the AP poll though.

Missouri and Tennessee have NOT beaten an FBS team that either ended last year with a winning record or is currently above .500.

That’s 34 possible games in that span.

It's all a sham. The polls are now being used by the SEC and Big10 to make sure more of their games are against "ranked opponents" thereby giving their conference more brownie points to get more teams into the playoff, deserving or otherwise. BYU doesn't play but gets demoted anyway. I'm so sick and tired of the corruption in all things.

Every September, SEC fans complain about how many “ranked teams” they face.

Here’s an example of how that played out last year:

Alabama

3 finished ranked

West Virginia
2 ranked preseason
5 finished ranked

SEC teams are just perennially overrated.
