Within 30 seconds, twelve people were discussing my imaginary marriage.

@JimmyBogonko Correct. Whichever way, you have to count 5 times after an election to get to the 5th year.

The Tuesday when elections happen indicates the 5th year. The 2nd Tuesday of August of the following year is the first and so on until we get to the 2nd Tuesday of August of the 5th year.

This makes sense.
We get flawed when we count the 5th year, when elections happen, as the first year.

11/8/2022 - 10/8/2023 is the first year of the presidential term, but it's within the 5th year in context of elections
