I will say that Love Everlasting won't work for everyone. This series is very much a slow-burn, and its repetitive nature may benefit a monthly system of reading over a traditional graphic novel format. For me, however, I can't get enough of this book.

Charretier and Hollingsworth are killing it in the art department. The throwback cartoon aesthetic lends well to the historical settings, and creates a calming sense of mundanity that contrasts with the increasingly evident cracks in Joan's reality.
