If you grew up without money you are already used to being broke. Money changes that and it makes you uncomfortable. So the first thing a guy who grew up broke does as soon as he gets any money is think about it all the time and try to get rid of it as quickly as he can so that he can go back to what he is used to; being broke. Money really burns a hole through his pocket.

The way to short-circuit this is to be deliberately cash poor. Just put the money into assets then stay as broke as you are used to being.

Anyone who knows me know I never have cash. Ever. It's all in things that I will start slowly liquidating soon.
