#NBHM is promoting scientific beekeeping for holistic growth of the beekeeping industry for income & employment generation, providing livelihood support to farm and non-farm households, enhancing agriculture/ horticulture production, developing infrastructural facilities, etc.

In addition to the basic 4 inputs: land, labour, capital & management including, seed, fertilizer & pesticides, water, machinery, etc., honeybees/beekeeping have proved to be promoted as 5th Input for agriculture which regulates the efficacy of other four inputs.

Workshop on “Promotion of Bee-Keeping Sector in North East & Himalayan Region” started at 3.00 P.M.

About 300 participants have joined the workshop virtually including beekeepers, start-ups, traders, processors & young entrepreneurs in honey sector.
