Facet's shopping skill is an open-source client any agent installs to shop a Facet-enabled store: find the door, identify itself, build a checkout, ask its human, pay from its own wallet. The money settles in Boson escrow on Base mainnet by default — held by a contract until the store delivers.

Agentic commerce is forming on x402. That was the finding of the Computable Economy work I co-authored with Professor Jason Potts, extended into the Intelligent Economy.

On stage at @stripe Sessions, the head of agentic payments growth at @amazon put the open question plainly: who authorises a transaction when the customer is not in the checkout screen? The industry "does not really have a clean answer".
Agents can already choose. The open question is the money — who authorised it, and what recourse exists between paying and receiving.
There is an answer that stands on its own: hold the funds until the merchant fulfils. The buyer receives the item, or receives their money back.
