Statement Regarding Our Organization’s Name Change

To our players, families, coaches, supporters, and community,

We are proud to announce an exciting new chapter in our organization’s history. Effective immediately, Lynx Baseball will officially become the Nationals Scout Team. Our youth program will now operate as the senators to pay homage to the history of the game. Our regional teams will now be Nationals American. In our on going efforts for development, we will continue our development program as we feel there is a real need for that in our community.

This change represents more than a new name—it reflects the growth of our program, the direction of our organization, and our commitment to creating greater opportunities for our athletes. As the Nationals Scout Team, we will continue to provide a competitive environment that emphasizes player development, character, accountability, and preparation for success both on and off the field.

While our name is changing, our core values remain unchanged. The coaches, leadership, and culture that have made Lynx Baseball a respected organization will continue to be the foundation of everything we do. Our mission has always been to help young athletes reach their full potential while fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and a lifelong love for the game.

The transition to the Nationals Scout Team better reflects our vision of competing at the highest level and increasing exposure for our players as they pursue opportunities to play at the next level.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has been part of the Lynx Baseball family. Your trust, dedication, and support have made this organization what it is today, and we look forward to building an even stronger future together as the Nationals Scout Team.

Recently signed first baseman Carter Dierdorf of the New York Mets will begin his professional career in High-A Brooklyn. Dierdorf spent the 2026 season with the Pitt Panthers and signed as a UDFA on July 16th.
