NEW: The person leading Twitter’s encrypted DMs project claimed the company had a third party firm audit its implementation prior to launch. In fact, Twitter hasn’t even signed the contract. https://t.co/OygzLtwYmc
It's official. The death penalty is no longer in state law. In 2014 I issued a moratorium. In 2018 the state Supreme Court deemed the death penalty unconstitutional. Now in 2023, passage of SB 5087 strikes it entirely from our statutes.

"I did due diligence, because I knew there was lots of toxic ground in this county due to the historical application of pesticides," Moberg said. "People who did their due diligence did not buy land on old orchards."
If you’re angry about all the right-wing attacks on reproductive freedom, I’m right there with you. I’m staying in the fight for abortion rights, and I’m asking you to stay angry—to channel your anger into working towards change.
BREAKING: The Washington State Senate just passed a ban on the sale and distribution of military-style assault weapons. The Senate put the safety of our schools and public spaces above the gun lobby.
This is the culmination of a lot of hard work and perseverance.
BREAKING: In a historic vote, the Senate just passed #HB1240 to prohibit the sale, manufacture & import of assault weapons in Washington state — to protect our kids, reduce gun violence & put public safety over the interests of the gun industry. #WALeg

Bank executives begged for weaker oversight rules. They got them. And then they reaped what they sowed. I’m fighting to protect working people from any more bank failures by putting strong protections back in place. https://t.co/ePobGDMQgO
I don’t care if you lose your job as a congressional rep or senator, it is past time to do something about gun violence. Vote for background checks, waiting periods, red flag laws, assault weapons ban and anything else that keeps guns out of the wrong hands. #DoItNow
If you agree that we need to pass a wealth tax, make child care affordable, ensure the right to an abortion, and keep banks from hurting working people, add your name to endorse our re-election campaign—and let’s work together to get it done: https://t.co/tPzWvWUnbx
We’ve won some big victories for working families in Massachusetts and across the country, but there’s a lot more to do. So today I’m making it official: I’m running for re-election to keep up the fight.
We need a banking system that protects working people—not one that lets CEOs juice their profits by risking a devastating crash. I’m staying in the fight for stronger protections.
