Iโm sad today as some birds in the garden have a horrible disease (canker) that can be passed on through birds sharing a feeding station. Iโve had to take my feeders in for a while. It breaks my heart to see them suffer. ๐ข @NewarkPrimary https://t.co/PSKq4MK7gN
A rustling in the undergrowth last night revealed that hedgehogs are now awake. Please donโt give them milk to drink, it is not good for them. ๐๐ฆ @NewarkPrimary https://t.co/5LrdIpCVXL
High drama on the water this morning. The birds are all getting a bit feisty with the mating season on its way. The swans are not impressed with the Canadian geese. It is a bit like watching a soap opera! ๐ @NewarkPrimary@nature_scot
Isnโt this wee bird beautiful! He is a redpoll. Unfortunately only has one tail feather. We were trying to rescue him to get him checked over but had no luck. They are not normally ground feeders but his balance is all off at the moment.
I found this little guy trying to come into our house last night. A Common Newt, also known as a Smooth Newt. We had a wee look at him and then returned him to the garden. Isnโt he cute! ๐ @NewarkPrimary@nature_scot @NewarkP7_b
Who'd have thought snow was with many of us just two weeks ago...?โ๏ธโ๏ธ This mistle thrush was really appreciative of this apple. Fruit can be left out for badgers, foxes and birds. Cut it in half and leave on grass or spike on a branch https://t.co/zmMRPbv4Gq #MakeSpaceForNature
A bit longer than yesterday - 1.7 miles. ๐ Lots of birds singing but I managed to get one on its own. You might not be able to see this Coal Tit but you can certainly hear it. Saw the resident Kestrel too. โค๏ธ

There might not have been much wildlife on my run this morning but there is still plenty of action on my bird feeders. I donโt think I need to put out any water today! ๐คฃ
Iโm not sure that Rosco enjoyed our run this morning! I think he would have rather been sheltering out of the rain, like the wildlife. @JoeBlyth5@ActiveSchoolsIC @P1bNewark2020
