Back from a lovely trip to Greece. I was a bit surprised there wasn't a huge volume of invertebrate life to check out, but what there was was very cool. These big metallic turquoise scarabs were one of the highlights!
The rock pools in Dunbar are finally coming alive for the summer! Very excited to see these two. I suspect these are sea hares - a type of sea snail with an internal shell.
A bingo bee! Many bees at @TheBotanics have tiny numbers on their backs. I'm looking forward to bumping into the "Bumble Brigade", PhD students studying the bees, to find out more. #BotanicsBeeBingo

One pleasing consequence of #NoMowMay that I hadn't thought of: the dandelion seeds are proving very popular with the local birds. We've started getting daily visits from some goldfinches!
