Last year my partner and I started a group to improve the village for wildlife, through improving gardens and community spaces and connecting up those spaces with corridors.

This evening we passed 100 members.

Our Twitter, @NaturePuriton, will have to be more active!

Though our plans for the next few months have been interrupted, the group is still active on Facebook with plenty of ideas for things to do for wildlife during #lockdown.

On the morning I was late to join in with the #BreakfastBirdwatch. On joining her at the kitchen table my partner, who'd been watching since 8, informed me that a grey heron had only just left. Typical.

The foxes have been quite vocal in the fields these past few nights, and this afternoon I caught this pair having an almighty scrap. I just managed to film this glimpse of the pursuit that followed.

There must be something in the air today!
