Hi! I am the founder of Nautical Waters. My earliest memories are of lakes and dolphins. I became aware of the damage ghost nets & fishing gear have on oceans & marine life and wanted to be part of the solution. Check out our bio and consider joining me #ghostnets#oceanpollution

@Goodable For anyone interested in ocean clean up, check out @NauticalWaters, a non-profit set up by then 15-year-old from #LdnOnt. She takes discarded fishing rope and repurposes it beautifully. Making a difference #LittleByLittle.
NAUTICAL WATERS
Started by 16 year old Natalie McIntosh, Nautical Waters works to locate and retrieve discarded fishing nets and then repurposes them using environmentally sustainable methods!
@NauticalWaters
Check out these vases made by @NauticalWaters from discarded fishing rope retrieved from the shores of the Bay of Fundy! Each of these vases comes with a glass jar or plastic water bottle that has been cleaned and is also being repurposed!♻️

I once watched a colleague (who had just returned to work after maternity leave) highlight every email in her inbox and press delete. When she saw the look on my face, she shrugged and said, "If they really need to talk to me, they'll find me." I think of her nearly every day.
Great initiative founded by a 15-year-old high school student: repurposing plastic pollution into daily use objects such as baskets, bowls, door mat, different kinds of art, jewellery. @NauticalWaters#innovation#initiative#leadership
Thank you to #starfishcanada for selecting me one of Canada’s top 25 environmentalists under 25. I am truly thankful and appreciative of the opportunity to spread awareness about the ghost gear crisis 💙
