Drivers must recognize that cyclists have a legal right to take the lane, and it's essential for their safety and well-being. Roads are not solely for automobiles. As the Ford government considers removing bike lanes, this practice will become increasingly important.

@fordnation @PBethlenfalvy Great news? As an Ontarian, I have numerous other issues that I would like to see improved. Increasing access to alcohol isn't one of them. Additionally, it costs taxpayers money to implement such changes, which could be better spent on more important matters.

When the support they depend on disappears, their focus will shift to survival, which may lead them to disregard how their actions affect others

The reason gridlock exists is because there are too many cars on the roads. The way to address that is not by removing opportunities to reduce cars on the roads, it’s by increasing opportunities for folx to use alternatives. Cycling is a mode of transportation, too.

@LFPress @jackmoulton65 If driving lanes are removed and still can handle the capacity, there should not be any issues. It takes less space and cost for to travel by foot, cycling and transit, than by private automobiles.
