Paank strongly condemns the enforced disappearances of four Baloch individuals, carried out by Pakistani security forces and intelligence agencies. Enforced disappearance is a serious violation of international human rights law, depriving individuals of their liberty while placing them outside the protection of the law. Authorities must immediately disclose the fate and whereabouts of all disappeared persons, ensure their safety, and hold those responsible accountable through independent and impartial investigations.

Documented Cases:

1. Nasir Baloch, son of Mehrab Khan, 18 years old, a student and resident of Sariab Road, Quetta, was forcibly disappeared on 27 March 2026 at approximately 2:00 AM from Sariab Road, Quetta. Reports suggest the involvement of Pakistani Intelligence Agencies and CTD.

2. Meeran Baloch, son of Gul Khan, 25 years old, a student from Kulaan, Kharan, was forcibly disappeared for the third time on 23 July 2026 at around 7:00 PM from Basheer Chowk, Quetta. Reports suggest the involvement of Pakistan's Counter-Terrorism Department.

3. Atiq Khetran, son of Rafiq, a resident of Barkhan, was forcibly disappeared from his home on 21 July 2026 by Pakistani state security forces, according to information received by Paank.

4. Arif, son of Yaseen, a labourer from Dasht Sholig, was forcibly disappeared on 24 July 2026 from Palliri, Gwadar. Reports suggest the involvement of Pakistan's Military Intelligence (MI).

Paank calls on the Government of Pakistan to immediately reveal the fate and whereabouts of these individuals, ensure they are either released or promptly brought before a competent civilian court, and conduct independent, transparent, and effective investigations into these crimes. Pakistan must uphold its obligations under international human rights standards by ending the practice of enforced disappearances and ensuring truth, justice, and reparations for victims and their families.

Paank expresses grave concern over the enforced disappearance of Bibi Rafia (33), daughter of the late Imam Bakhsh, along with her three young children (aged 3 months, 4 years, and 6 years), her brother Muhammad Arif (40), and her niece Bibi Nida (18), daughter of the late Siraj Ahmed.

According to the family, at approximately 6:30 p.m. on 21 July 2026, more than 20 FC vehicles carrying around 60 personnel, accompanied by three masked individuals in civilian clothes, raided their home in Killi Kongarh, District Mastung, Balochistan. The family says that the forces damaged household property under the pretext of conducting a search before taking all six individuals into custody. Since then, their whereabouts remain unknown, and no official information has been provided to the family.

Paank is strongly condemns the practice of enforced disappearances, particularly the disappearance of a woman together with three very young children. Enforced disappearance is a serious violation of international human rights law and places those detained outside the protection of the law, exposing them to an increased risk of torture and other ill-treatment.

Paank calls on the Pakistani authorities to immediately disclose the fate and whereabouts of Bibi Rafia, her three children, Muhammad Arif, and Bibi Nida, ensure they are protected from torture and other ill-treatment, provide their families with accurate information without delay, and either promptly release them if they are being held unlawfully or bring them before a competent civilian court in accordance with due process and international human rights standards.

Paank strongly condemns the enforced disappearances of Munaib Baloch, a 19-year-old student and son of Muneer, who was allegedly forcibly disappeared by Pakistani security forces from Kalatuk, District Kech, Balochistan, at around 4:00 a.m. on 21 July, and Adnan, son of Razaq Baloch, who was allegedly forcibly disappeared by Pakistani security forces on 9 July from the Pishukan area of District Gwadar, Balochistan.

According to the information received, Adnan's father, Razaq Baloch, was previously killed in an alleged operation by Pakistani security forces. His son's reported abduction further deepens the suffering of a family that has already endured grave human rights violations.

Enforced disappearance is a serious violation of international human rights law. Paank calls on the Pakistani authorities to immediately disclose the fate and whereabouts of Munaib Baloch and Adnan, ensure their safety, grant them access to legal representation and their families if they are in state custody, or release them immediately if there is no lawful basis for their detention. Those responsible for these alleged enforced disappearances must be subjected to prompt, independent, impartial, and transparent investigations and held accountable in accordance with the law.

Paank reiterates its call for an end to the ongoing practice of enforced disappearances in Balochistan and urges the authorities to uphold their obligations under international human rights standards, ensuring the protection of every person's right to liberty, security, and due process.

Nine days have passed since the enforced disappearance of Asif Baloch on 13 July 2026. Nine days of unanswered questions. Nine days of fear, anguish, and uncertainty for a family denied even the most basic information about his fate or whereabouts. This is not only the disappearance of one individual. It is the deliberate infliction of permanent psychological torture on an entire family. Enforced disappearance functions as a policy of collective punishment, extending suffering far beyond the victim and into the lives of every parent, sibling, and loved one forced to wait in silence.

Enforced disappearance is a grave violation of international human rights law, including the rights to liberty, security, due process, and protection from arbitrary detention. The normalization of enforced disappearance and the impunity enjoyed by those responsible undermine justice and erode the foundations of human rights. Speaking out against this practice is a moral and legal obligation. Silence is complicity.

The Baloch Women Forum strongly condemns the enforced disappearance of 16-year-old Rizwana, a first year student from Mastung. Her disappearance adds to the growing number of Baloch women who have been forcibly disappeared including Khadija Baloch, Mahjabeen Baloch, Nasreena Baloch and Habiba Baloch. The increasing abduction of Baloch women and girls demonstrates that enforced disappearance has become a deliberate instrument of fear, intimidation and collective punishment against the Baloch nation. The targeting of women and even minors represents a dangerous escalation, violating the most fundamental principles of human dignity and justice.

The continued abduction of Baloch women is a colonial tactic aimed at terrorizing communities, silencing political voices and weakening the social fabric of an oppressed nation. When women become targets, the objective extends beyond the individual, it is intended to spread fear across entire families and communities. Baloch Women Forum demands the immediate release of Rizwana, Khadija Baloch, Mahjabeen Baloch, Nasreena Baloch, Habiba Baloch and all forcibly disappeared Baloch women. We call on the international community and global human rights mechanisms to take urgent action, ensure independent investigations and hold those responsible accountable. The normalization of the enforced disappearance of Baloch women must end before more lives are destroyed by impunity.
