Cancer screening close to home - special campaign in Navi Mumbai for screening through mobile van

New Mumbai National Non-Communicable Disease Screening at Municipal Corporation Hospitals and Urban Primary Health Center Level Under the program , men and women above the age of 30 undergo regular check-ups and their registration is done on the portal. Under this program Screening and testing are being done for high blood pressure, diabetes, oral cancer, breast cancer and cervical cancer. Also, if suspected patients are found, public health officials are being notified. Hospital, Nerul Here Being referenced.
Adding more to this investigation From 3rd August to 11th August 2026, a cancer van was sent by the government to the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation area. Accordingly, a cancer screening campaign was successfully implemented at various places in the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation area by the Urban Primary Health Centers.

In this special cancer screening campaign, 1,292 citizens of Navi Mumbai enthusiastically participated and got their health checked.

In this van, screening and tests were conducted for oral cancer, breast cancer and cervical cancer. The campaign The following planning was done by the Health Department.

Green Zone Competition' announced for Navi Mumbai's environmental conservation *

Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation is the second most environmentally friendly city in the state in the Majhi Vasundhara Abhiyan organized by the Department of Environment and Climate Change, Government of Maharashtra. In this regard, the 'Green Ward Competition' is being organized in the city with a view to creating a movement for environmental protection and conservation through public participation, Mayor Shrim. Sujata Patil had recently announced during the tree plantation ceremony held at the Nature Reserve in Koparkhairane.

Accordingly, Municipal Commissioner Dr. Kailash Shinde has issued a circular and has appealed to the environment-loving citizens of Navi Mumbai to participate in the Green Ward Competition in large numbers. In order to keep the parks, tree belts, road dividers and squares in the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation area neat and tidy and to increase the greenery around the residential areas and make Navi Mumbai a clean and green city, a ward-wise 'Green Ward Competition' is being organized for environmental protection and conservation.
This Green Zone Competition is being organized to increase the green cover of the city by implementing innovative concepts while maintaining the parks and to achieve the goal of beautifying the places in the Navi Mumbai area where there is scope for beautification in a state-of-the-art manner.

With the aim of making our area clean, beautiful and environmentally friendly, the following aspects will be given special emphasis in the Green Zone Competition organized by Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation. The period of this competition will be from August 2026 to March 2027. During this period, under the control and guidance of the Divisional Officer and Tree Officer, it is expected that the division will be as green and beautiful as possible. Accordingly, the Divisional Officer and Tree Officer have to implement it by their subordinate officers and employees. Under this, various activities are to be implemented with wide public participation by creating environmental awareness among the citizens.

The competition criteria for this competition have been issued by the NMUMPA Garden Department and are as follows -

1. Beautify the park based on innovative concepts.

2. Plantation of indigenous and plant-derived tree species for pollution control

3. Beautification of parks, roads and open spaces

4. Afforestation to preserve biodiversity

5. Park suitable for tourism

6. Special flower and fruit trees planted in the nursery

7. Implement activities related to tree conservation and cultivation by involving school students.

8. Undertake various initiatives that are useful for the growth of green sectors through CSR.

9. Supervision of the daily operations of park maintenance and conservation carried out by the Municipal Corporation.

10. To expedite the resolution of online complaints (Grivience App) received in the Parks Department.

11. Transplanting trees to save as many trees as possible from the trees affected by private and public development projects and taking measures to conserve the translocated trees.

12. Implement public awareness programs through tree planting programs, seed collection, fertilizer production from green waste, beautification from dry tree residues, etc.

13. Cultivation of ancient trees.

14. A before and after photo (Google Map Photo) of the innovative work you have done will be required.

It is proposed that this Green Division Competition will include all 8 division offices of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation and that this competition be planned using all means to make our division green and exemplary.
