JMIC still rates Strait of Hormuz transit as Severe. Eight attacks on commercial ships on Oct 11 and 13 alone. Container ship GFS Pride was struck Oct 13, caught fire, and sank the next day. Crew evacuated. Two seafarers remain missing after the Petro Dolphin attack near Oman.
Whatever the politics, the people on board carry the risk.

Calling it: since the move to the unified system, my bots got dumber. @grok@xai@cursor_ai They forget conversations, drop tools mid-task, and get rate limited when more than a few run at once. Open ticket with support, no fix yet.
Andromeda Galaxy (M31), 2.5 million light-years away and the biggest galaxy we can see with the naked eye from a dark sky. Shot last night from the backyard in Lumberton, TX with the new Seestar S50 Pro. Its two companion galaxies, M32 and M110, are in the frame too. First night with the scope.
Since the switch to the unified plan, my Grok Bot crew isn't remembering conversations like it did before. I'm not the only one: @raphaelhauser and @BingbinYang are seeing it too. @grok@xai@cursor_ai, can you help sort out how bots carry over when Cursor and X accounts are linked?
Lines fast, gangway down: that's when shore leave should start. Australia's AMSA reminds owners and masters that a possible port state control inspection is no reason to delay or deny it.

@niccruzpatane@bot will I lose usage bandwidth? I have premium plus and curser pro plus total 100/mo and I use about 75% usage burn, if I switch to super will I lose usage??
8/ Before trusting the fender, check its pressure.
Before checking its pressure, check its paperwork.
Two ships alongside are only as safe as the gap between them.

1/ What are those giant rubber bumpers floating between two ships?
They're Yokohama fenders, commonly used in lightering between ships and barges. They're the only thing keeping two steel hulls apart. 🧵
7/ What I check on a fender:
- Chains: the net and tyres that protect the body
- Overall condition: cuts, gouges, abrasion
- Pneumatics: pressure has to match the rating. A soft fender won't absorb what the table says.
