@mike_e_kaye Seems like a really smart move by the FO. Move early but don't over commit or over pay. They've come along way from picking up a 5th yr option for a player who never played a down for the franchise. (Not a slight at Sam, but the process (which wasn't blue iykyk)).
@rickyboboddy You know Ol Simms can't say a kind thing about the Panthers, ever since we ruptured that appendix lol. I just see this as a validation of the pick.
@tkpipedreams Man this could be a blessing in disguise. We have plateaued with kerns but we can't fire him bc we still remember being basement dwellers. I wouldn't even be upset with him. He will leave the program in better standing than he found it.
@FormerAppAthlts They better already be on the phone, and the convo needs to go like this "Matt what do we need to make this happen?" "Ok done!" Don't over complicate things and bring this man HOME!!!!
@mike_e_kaye Mike season 3 can't happen without the ground work laid in season 1. Lesson to be learned about allowing a story time to develop and finds it's voice.
@mike_e_kaye Great kid! Makes some of the most ridiculous catches I have ever seen, literally is never "covered". There are some drop issues but definitely a guy that could develop into a vertical threat
@carolinadadshow I don't think that's what these moves indicate. Building an elite ST unit is going to win games. We saw that this year- so adding two more legit ST aces to what we had makes this unit a weapon beyond the kickers and returners. They are building a complete team. I'm here 4 it!
@PantherLiferGA Absolutely not. He is not a chess piece bc when he is on the field it's almost guaranteed to be a pass play. Dude is a one dimensional TE and his production isn't nearly as elite as his athletic profile. Someone is going to get fired for over drafting him.
@mike_e_kaye@PrioritySports Also just hit me: having Incoom, Simmons and Hampton on coverage units is insane....three dudes that just play with their hair on fire!!!!
@PantherLiferGA Literally can't block- I just can't see us drafting a guy who is probably going to have to be a big slot WR. I don't see the need to press on TE. The current room in the composite is everything you need out of the position. If you can get the total package do it-if not, dont
