@True_Patriot_1x@DiscipleFidei Our short Sunday lessons follow a study guide due to a lack of time. But part of that guide is to read every single chapter and verse that is being covered that week.
@BasedGusFring@Galatians110Guy@bulletinindy Multiple gods, only one God. There is a huge difference. We inherit what the father has, but it’s still just his Godhood. A concept not much different than this weird “in 3 persons” thing that isn’t in the bible.
@BasedGusFring@Galatians110Guy@bulletinindy Your interpretation of this is factually incorrect yet again. We do not believe in, nor worship, multiple gods. We believe we are heirs to the father, but he will always be the one and only God. My sons will grow up and become fathers too, but I’m still their only Father.
@DiscipleFidei We specifically focus on the OT and NT 2 out of every 4 years and are encouraged to read it cover to cover quite frequently. Your ignorance is unfounded here.
@FranckAgui@pablofindsout The Super Bowl is a single game that draws almost as many viewers in a single country as a World Cup match does for the entire world and you think that’s a flex for soccer
@kevinblue345 Both were convicted so your argument isn’t sound. The case with Allison wasn’t the same either, it was an on going fight between the 2, not an out of the blue stabbing. Allison had previously had a gun pulled on him by his victim so fear of life was actually a valid claim
@Galatians110Guy@bulletinindy Polytheism is the worship of multiple gods. LDS worship a single God, the father. Ironically other Christian’s worship and pray to multiple people, including Jesus (he taught to pray to the Father) and extending as far as praying to saints, so we actually worship fewer gods
@bulletinindy Interesting. Aren’t these the people praying to multiple gods in the form of Jesus as well as god the father?
Oh that’s right, they have a convenient man made creed that says their one god but 3 gods but still one god.
@Konraddin@realDrTT Nobody danced around this easy to answer idea. In fact, it was answered in the post that was quoted here. We don’t pray to Jesus. Jesus specifically taught to only pray to the father.
@ztrussell@SECONDCOMINGOCC The Bible also commonly addresses the natural man that “receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God”. A simple address to this seeming contradiction from seeing god and not seeing god is that man in this context refers to the natural man, not mankind.
@ServusDeiVivi Cool, so you also have no explanation for the Catholic Church’s deviation from the biblical organization of Christ’s church.
Good to know.
@thedivaszn@MikemanCommeth@bgrheadquarters False, but the level of aggression we’re talking about here was a gun being drawn on Allison in a previous encounter with his victim, not some light gesturing to move. Very different circumstances
