The outpouring of support for @CreteNE Police Chief Gary Young's family, friends, and community has been wonderful to see. Many has asked how they can show support on Monday as Chief Young is being honored.
The funeral service will be open to the public at 10am at Ag Hall in Crete, but there will also be the opportunity to line the procession route in Crete and in Lincoln. Here are those routes.
Please don't park on the routes themselves, but find a safe place to park and walk to the route to show your support. Thank you, Nebraska.
Investigator Hutchison took part in some excellent training related to autism alongside many other local officers and deputies in Kearney.
Thanks to @AutismActionAAP for the training and partnership!
Great work by Troopers in @NSP_TroopD last week to find over 5 pounds of cocaine during a traffic stop on I-80. A Grand Island man was arrested in the process.

All of NSP sends our condolences to @CreteNE Police Chief Gary Young’s family, friends, and all of Crete.
Chief Young was a great leader and friend. I had the pleasure to serve with him for many years dating back to years with the Fraternal Order of Police, and most recently the Police Chiefs Association of Nebraska and FBI National Academy Associates. On behalf of the entire Nebraska State Patrol, out deepest condolences are with the Young family, friends, Crete PD, City of Crete, Community, and all those grieving this sudden loss. - @ColonelWaughNSP https://t.co/IzqD3ng4Ep
Great to spend some time today with Camp 74! The recruits start each morning (after their workout) by raising the flag and reciting the NSP Core Values and their class motto.
Keep working hard, 74!

I don’t work for awards or noteriety. Do I appreciate awards and such, sure I do, very much.
It’s the simple “Thank You’s” that I thoroughly enjoy. I read all of them & keep them for a day when I maybe lose track of my “Why.”

Between #333 and his dad Ron (who wore badge #433), a Balthazor has been on patrol since 1978! Thank you both of your service to our great state!

NSP Carrier Enforcement helps train allied agencies from other states.
Earlier this month, we were proud of have multiple states join our troopers at State Headquarters in Lincoln for a week of classroom and practical training.
One of the best parts of this job is the opportunity to stand alongside dedicated professionals and community members across the entire state who believe in the mission of public safety.
It was an honor to attend the 6th Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Event in @CityofKearney, where hundreds of citizens came together to recognize and support the men and women who serve across Buffalo County, Kearney, and our State.
Congratulations to my great friend, @SheriffNMiller, on being recognized for an incredible 50 years of service. Your leadership, integrity, and commitment to your community have made a lasting impact.
It was also great to spend time with Chief Kowalek @KPD339, @CptKThompsonKPD, @ChiefDeputyDan, and my former @KearneyPolice and @BuffaloCountySO family.
A sincere thank you to keynote speaker @HuskerWrestling and former @loperwrestling Tervel Dlagnev for an inspiring message about discipline, hard work, faith, purpose, and the pursuit of excellence. Your story resonated with everyone in the room.
Finally, thank you to @KACCNebraska and everyone from the Friends of Law Enforcement group who planned, sponsored, and supported this outstanding event, and to our @NEStatePatrol team in attendance who represented our agency with professionalism and pride. 🇺🇸🚔
