At the end of a long #journey...
The participants in 🇪🇺 @NearchProject Final #Meeting at @cdf1530, hosted by @Inrap in 🇫🇷 @Paris.
Thank you! ❤️
It has been a wonderful day. The right conclusion for this great #project.
Looking forward to new amazing projects! 📝
@Kristin_Oswald rez. "Imprint of Action. The Sociocultural Impact of Public Activities in Archaeology" von Krijn Boom: https://t.co/2xFlbL8Ddj
Coming back from Paris with this wonderful book in my luggage by @JPDemoule@GarciaDInrap and Alain Schnapp. A superb example of the intellectual ambition that Archaeology must embody and its contributions for larger audiences @archaeologyEAA@IncipitCSIC

Another achivement from @NearchProject . Today in Leiden University, Krijn Boom brightly defended his thesis entitled “Imprint of Action. The sociocultural impact of public activities in Archaeology”, supervised by Monique van den Dries and Jan Kolen. @IncipitCSIC

Thank you @ArchaeologistSP! Larger-scale studies on public participation in archaeology: https://t.co/b8snzqzrXG This had a sample of 1,500 people. The @NearchProject has also done survey-based work, but I could not see media related questions in their @archaeologyEAA article
I could spend a good evening wandering around these revealing stats and findings (secret: I have!) - a great overview of the public perception of archaeology - Europewide. Definitely recommended reading!
