@Tire_d_owl I’m pretty sure there was an original video he made of this that got tons of backlash from Edelgard fans that he had to remake it into this one
@attempttress@worst_egirl Engage gives you plenty of prepromotes at the end of the game with Lindon, Saphir, Veyle, and Mauvier all coming in a couple chapters before Endgame. Not to mention unlocking Emblem Alear as another lategame tool for Classic players.
@gonergnostic That one deltarune critique that went viral like a month ago had a lot of things wrong with it, but this was one of the points on it that I did agree with.
@S0BBLING tbh she kind of was the "arc 1" antagonist if we put it into anime terms. Drove the main plot of Chapter 2 and 3 pretty much singlehandedly. I honestly don't dislike how they used her in the narrative.
@Luxaternia@ZekeFreek Why are we basing the quality of writing decisions on the reading comprehension of the infamously 12 year old fanbase of Danganronpa
@danganholic I have problems with him as a villian, but I think the thing I dislike most about him is how much the game clearly wants you to like and forgive him at every step post route 0. Most routes where you try to kill/reject him instantly try to guilt trip you and it's frustrating.
@hgraves01 From what I've seen Obelusk was a pretty bad guy, but I think one of the few things his original document did better was Eva mastermind over what I've seen with Cass. A mastermind is far more interesting when their motives have to do with an idealogy rather than cult manipulation
@SaoriHimemiya On a related topic, I think a lot of this is why V3’s ending was so controversial. It was entirely written for the player to confront the themes the story was trying to promote rather than trying to do something just entertaining and mysterious to finish off the KG setting.
@homerjahsimpson I'm surprised I don't see many other people critique this part of PoR. I get that the Begnion arc is important for teaching the player about Begnion culture and the state of the Laguz within it, but the story slowed the pace to a crawl during that whole arc.
