@owenjonesjourno It is clearly an attention seeking farce. However, I grew up in Clacton, and people who don't know it well might just dismiss it. On just about every metric they've been failed by politics for decades, and this is a chance to offer & amplify a positive 💚 alternative. Tough call.
@IpswichTown - this is solely the fault of the club for inviting the fox into the henhouse. It's time for a strong statement distancing themselves from this behaviour and supporting your people - corporate non-apologies from Mark Ashton do not cut it.
@McivorJaymey@marksandspencer@GBNEWS Nothing like a bit of faux outrage to try and get a little bit of attention from GB News. Desperate.
This has never been a thing, so stop being such an eggstremist.
@KathrynDW59@DPJHodges@thinkagainIAO After being elected on a mandate to do things differently, I'm not sure 'they did it worse' is a defence that does Labour any favours.
@ZackPolanski Well said @ZackPolanski. While Zia is busy threatening a university for not inviting Reform to a debate, Matt is busy ducking one with Hannah. It's almost like there's no substance beneath the rhetoric...
@GoodwinMJ So we have @ZiaYusufUK upset and making Trump-like threats because Reform aren't invited to a debate. Whilst at the same time @GoodwinMJ has been invited to a debate, but he's found a reason to hide from it. Reform in a nutshell.
@sremmerriley Except that's not the case at all is it. At best for you this is a 3 horse race, in reality I think it will be votes for Labour that let Reform in should they win. Maybe find a positive message to get your votes rather than just relying on fear mongering.
@KathyParr101@juneslater17 Isn't basic comprehension a mandatory requirement for an English teacher? You're reading what you want to read, rather than what's actually there.
@lancelachlan@Heccles94 It's nowhere near as clear cut as that, this is just fear campaigning in the absence of anything positive to stand on. If the Greens come 2nd behind Reform here, will you then be consistent and accuse Labour of splitting the vote?
@NatashaC@LBC@ElectCalculus@TheGreenParty Thanks for the reply, much appreciated :) Indeed, and that was pre-Burnham being blocked so would expect (and honestly, hope!) to see that vote share collapse further). Interesting times ahead!
Disappointing to hear @NatashaC on @LBC this AM implying that Gorton and Denton is Labour Vs Reform. Mentioning the @ElectCalculus projections for Labour and Reform without mentioning it has the @TheGreenParty winning the seat. The way to stop Reform is to vote for @TheGreenParty
So either Labour need to ask candidates to step aside for the Greens to take on Reform....
Or actually bring in a fair democratic process where everyone's votes count equally.
It's time for Proportional Representation.

@DPJHodges This behaviour is about as far away from British values as you can get. Decent people want nothing to do with people being attacked whilst doing their jobs.
@owenjonesjourno I don't see it, it's just a two way power struggle becoming a three way power struggle. Less 'Your Party' and more 'It's My Party not Your Party". Self interest has taken over already and it's pretty grim.
@TheGreenParty is ready now, with a positive platform to build on.
@nyquoz @CarolineLucas Casually demonstrating that the ethno-nationalist answer to everything is to build a wall. It's a global issue, we need to be building bridges instead.
