Nehru and the royal houses of India came to an agreement where the royal houses gave up powers in exchange for a subset of privileges enjoyed by houses in European constitutional monarchies. That is okay, democracy > inherited rule.

Hindu royal houses surprisingly still managed to provide 30%-50% of the patronage for Hindu arts, culture, and high-end temple projects.

But most of that ended in 1971 when Indira Gandhi went after the royal houses with 85% inheritance taxes and land confiscations, despite knowing how much Hindu arts, culture, and high-end temple projects depended on these houses.

A lot of what Indians see as loss of "Hindu aesthetics" and increase in Hindu "dehat", both outside and inside Hindu temples, is something that is recect, by design, and deliberate intent by the Nehru-Gandhi family and Indian left.

🚨 India’s exports surge 15%, eyes $30 trillion economy by 2047

🇮🇳 Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said India’s exports rose by around 15% during April-July 2026, as the country targets $1 trillion in goods and services exports this fiscal.

Goyal said India, currently a $4 trillion economy, is aiming to become a $30 trillion economy by 2047, driven by manufacturing, exports, MSMEs and global trade.
