@airindia We had a really great experience. From the business class lounge in Melbourne where the chef made us masala chai to compensate for the fact that there was no eggless dessert, to the impeccable service on board. The crew were helpful, warm and professional.
On a grey July day, a Melbourne community hall is bursting with colour as Australia's Indian community gears up to welcome Indian PM Modi. Mr Modi and PM Albanese will appear at the Melbourne Meets Modi event, with thousands expected to attend. https://t.co/G9BNeaV0Gs

India's Narendra Modi emerges stronger after West Bengal win, vowing development and stability.

For anyone thinking of using AI in journalism, read this story by @NeelimaChoahan and ask yourself: could AI have done this? The answer is No. It could not have done all that research, interviewed all those people or crafted the story like this. Readers want real journalism, not AI slop. AI should just be used for low-level basic tasks where journalism is concerned.

Spoke to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's @NeelimaChoahan on the targetted attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh, how Dipu Das's public lynching and burning was reminiscent of the IS and the Taliban. @swatichopra1@FaiyazBengali.

Dressed in widow's white mourning clothes, Dipu's wife, Meghna Rani, could barely speak without crying | Thank you @NeelimaChoahan for this report in @abcnews

A very difficult story that I have been working on for the past week. Happy I could give voice to these people. Heartbreaking and sad. https://t.co/7rX1HBNy0C
Very pleased to see that ABC News in Australia has reported on what is happening to Hindus in Bangladesh and the horrific lynching of Dipu Das and mob murders of three other Hindus in recent days. Most western media outlets have totally ignored what is happening - including ignoring the Das murder. It is great that ABC News has covered this - as all impartial media should be doing. This is an excellent, thorough, well-researched report that went up today. Do read and share. https://t.co/mfUAGy86oX
I am shocked by the horrific terror attack on innocent civilians in Jammu and Kashmir overnight.
There is no justification for this violence and Australia condemns it.
Our hearts go out to the injured, to those mourning loved ones and to everyone in Australia touched by this terrible news.
My latest offering for the ABC. Recently ousted Delhi leader Arvind Kejriwal was once touted as "the new moral force in Indian politics". But an estimated $6.2 million upgrade of the CM residence with public money has taken the shine off his honesty badge.https://t.co/PXKTGFoT6e
Do you know CV #Raman was the first Asian and first ‘non-western’ individual to win #Nobel Prize in Sciences. He received Nobel in 1930 in #Physics. For discovering Raman effect.
Till now he remains only Indian citizen to win Nobel in science.
Today is his birth anniversary.
In Iran, a student harassed by her university’s morality police over her “improper” hijab didn’t back down. She turned her body into a protest, stripping to her underwear and marching through campus—defying a regime that constantly controls women’s bodies. Her act is a powerful reminder of Iranian women’s fight for freedom. Yes we use our bodies like weapons to fight back a regime that kills women for showing their hair.
This happened at Tehran’s Science and Research University She has since been arrested by the authorities.
Be her voice.

The Taliban have denied Afghan girls an education simply because they were born female. It’s been 1,141 days since the ban, making Afghanistan the only country where education is illegal for girls. #LetHerLearn
The Genius of Ancient India 🇮🇳!
In 628 Brahmagupta explored old Indian ideas about nothingness and void. He came up with the concept of zero and was the first to treat zero as a number, not as an absence. He allowed the world to develop a system where we can count numbers up to infinite, using only ten symbols. It was an intellectual revolution.
This Incredible thinker, 30 years of age, was born in Rajasthan and passed away in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.
Brahmagupta described gravity as an attractive force, a millennium before Newton. Other Indian ancient geniuses covered the movement of planets, the size of the earth, the exact length of the solar year or understood that the earth is rotating around its own axis.
The Arabs recoqnized the intellectual superiority of ancient India and sent delegations to learn. From the Arabs the numbers came to Europe and the West started attributing «Arab numbers» to those we borrowed from not from those who invented them.
There was of course a reason for this ignorance. What would have been the argument for the «civilizing mission» of Europe in India if Europeans had acknowledged that for most of history India was far superior to Europe????

1117 days since the Taliban banned teenage girls from school.
658 days since the Taliban banned women from university.
Today, Afghanistan stands as the ONLY country in the world where girls education is forbidden—an unprecedented violation, even within the Muslim world.
