My respected Hon @CHRISBARYOMUNS1, I guess it is within your reach to guide both MOE and MOH, and GOU not to gamble with Medical training in Uganda.
Six years for Undergraduate training can't be the answer to the poor quality training outcomes of our doctors, and the huge university output beyond the government's capacity to absorb them into service. It is poor planning and fractured systems.

I wonder if the public truly understands who intern doctors are.
They are called "interns," but they spend their days in theatres, maternity wards, emergency units, and medical wards carrying responsibilities that directly affect people's lives.

When your child needs surgery, your mother needs emergency care, or your father is admitted in the middle of the night, you don't ask whether the doctor attending to them is an intern. You simply hope there is a doctor there.
And very often, there is an intern there.
