Thanks! I've got buzz-pair-relay in the image and can run it + route /pair in Caddy. That fixes the desktop QR side.
My blocker is different: my relay is Tailscale-only (private host), and mobile hard-rejects private/non-public-HTTPS relay URLs at the credential-import step _validateRelayUrl() / _isPrivateHost() in the pairing provider. That's Issue #4198. So the sidecar gets the QR generating, but the phone still refuses my private host at the last step. Yours likely worked because it's on a public domain. I'd rather not expose the relay publicly, so I'm waiting on #4198 to accept private/VPN relay URLs.

@deep_rathod I can bake my own bread, but I still buy it from the supermarket.

[Neerav Vyas @NeeravPVyas]

@imikerussell I installed 0.5.4 as my initial version and was never able to connect my mobile app to the relay as the QR code on Mac app never generated for me.

Seems like the pairing sidecar isn't shipped in the VPS 1-click Buzz install stack at all, no buzz-pair-relay container, nothing to restart.

Dug into it and it's actually a known upstream gap (block/buzz #2735): self-hosted mobile pairing needs building from source right now, and mobile onboarding isn't fully shipped yet.

Rest of my self-hosted setup is solid, so I'm parking mobile until Buzz lands the fix.
Appreciate the pointer, sent me down the right rabbit hole.

The unique quality of Elon musk I observed is that he is the one and only one , I ever saw in any interview , where most of the time he looks like he started thinking about the question after it was asked .. he also looks like he’s thinking while talking , trying to find words for his thoughts to express while still thinking ..This is in sharp contrast to all in his kind of position who blurt out their answers even before the question is finished

In a large percentage of his interviews and long form conversations, there is a noticeable lag between the question landing and the beginning of a coherent answer. That lag is not emptiness. It is the visible onset of actual reasoning. He appears to treat many questions as live problems rather than conversational cues. You can watch him assembling the thought in real time: evaluating assumptions, discarding weaker framings, searching for the most precise formulation, and only then converting the internal thoughts into language.
Even while speaking, he often continues refining. Sentences restart, and he will sometimes correct or sharpen a point he made only seconds earlier. The thinking does not stop when the talking begins.
This is in sharp contrast to Politicians, most CEOs, media figures, and even many scientists in the public eye who always sound decisive ..
Speed of response often is thought as mastery. Elon’s slower, more visibly constructive process rejects that theory . It suggests that he is often doing the work of thinking in front of the audience rather than merely expressing the results of prior thinking.
Also while talking about the effects of A I on humanity his face has a strange mixture of hoping for the best , but accepting the inevitability . He appears fearless because he has already run the probabilities further than most people ever can .. The expression is not the practiced optimism of a CEO selling a future, nor the performative dread of a public intellectual signalling concern. It is the face of someone who has internally modelled both the upside and the downside at a depth that makes ordinary emotional reactions feel inadequate.
Hope remains, but it is no longer naïve because it coexists with a clear eyed recognition that certain trajectories, once set in motion will develop their own momentum.
The fearlessness does not come from confidence that everything will turn out well, but It comes from having already absorbed the full range of possible outcomes , including the irreversible ones and deciding to act anyway. The result is a composure that looks like courage, but is closer to something much more austere as in the refusal to look away from the actual problem. https://t.co/7jR4KxJYxh via @YouTube
