It’s actually quite simple. This administration decided to nationalize Pete Wilson. They handed ICE a clipboard, told them to treat Hispanic voters like a 1994 California ballot initiative, and forgot that the only thing Wilson actually successfully mobilized was Hispanic votes.
So one of the big stories of the early vote so far is a surge in Hispanics voting early across the country. Here are today's results compared to both 2022 and 2024. Hispanic vote is 37% higher nationally as a share of the overall vote than at this point in 2022.
I remember all of the first times. That first game with his chubby cheeks. The first catch in our front yard. The first time I took him to a field where he could run the bases. All of it. #EverybodyLovesBeisbol

Jimmy Carter never got a second term. Voters looked at the gas prices, the weakness abroad, and the economic mismanagement and decided four years was enough. With a midterm two weeks away, Republicans are about to learn whether voters feel the same way now. If Carter had gotten four more years, it is hard to see how those four years would have looked much different from these, except even Jimmy Carter knew the Russians were the bad guys.
