Kind Attention @CAQM_Official@OfficialGMDA@CPCB_OFFICIAL
Every single resident living along GCER Road, and every commuter passing through it, is being subjected to severe dust pollution. The volume of resuspended dust is unimaginable. Search “#GCER#Roaddust” and you will find thousands of complaints, photographs and videos documenting the problem.
While road widening and redevelopment have been awaited for 11 long years, they cannot come at the cost of sacrificing public health.
Huge mounds of excavated soil and sand have been left exposed. Every truck, car and motorcycle passing over or alongside them kicks up dust into the air. Dry winds then carry it across homes, schools, offices and vehicles. It #suffocates you even with the windows shut. Visibility is poor and the air feels thick with dust.
The most basic dust-control measures are missing. Why are these soil mounds not covered with wet jute sheets, green nets, or other dust-suppression materials? Why are vehicles allowed to drive over exposed soil? Why are the mounds not properly barricaded and continuously wetted?
I am tagging several residents and citizen champions who have highlighted this issue for months and years and can share videos and evidence from the ground. Many have received responses from GMDA and CAQM that work is underway. That is appreciated. However, public health cannot be sent to the gallows while the work continues.
Every minute of exposure matters.
Cover the soil. Keep it wet. Prevent airborne dust pollution.
Find engineering solutions if necessary, but do not put residents and commuters under the gallows in the meantime.

This happens when those living in Chandigarh decide how Gurugram walas should live. @OfficialGMDA & @NayabSainiBJP you are not at fault, we actually desrved this,as development was never your agenda ऐसा लगता है की पहले वाली खर्ची-पर्ची वाले ही ठीक थे. @Suhelseth@gurgaon_live

How are we ok with this? How are we allowing politicians to get away with doing nothing on Delhi’s air quality year on year? Our children haven’t signed up for this.
@TeesPix@RishiSunak@trussliz@yorkpress@TeessideLive And to be frank that’s the honest ambitious type of chap that needs to lead UK. Lead by example that good education, hard work and ambition can lead to a great life.

This year could well be the first year on record of China building the equivalent of one coal power plant per week of wind&solar. 108 GW of solar and at least 50 GW of wind would generate the same amount of electricity as 52 coal plants 1,000 MW each.
