@DukeEnergy Florida is investing $300k in grants for emergencies including 500 storm kits that we will distribute to Pinellas seniors currently receiving home-delivered meals. Today Duke Energy vols were paired with a MOW volunteer to hand out kits on their meal delivery route.
Meals on Wheels is hoping @StPeteFL will vote in favor of providing $75K so the organization can continue feeding seniors in need. With inflation, it now costs nearly $3,300 to feed just one elderly resident for a year.
