@franktompson @sarahm_twerton @timothyball Hi Frank. This is a more complex issue than may seem at first sight and depends on nature of ward. Matt McCabe and I have 15 villages (plus many hamlets) to cover in 13 parishes and so approach has to be different. Close liaison with parish councils is v important for us.

@WWUtilities @bathnes Many thanks to W&W for their actions, and to local residents for their forbearance and positive attitude. A good case of people working together. They tell me the pipes will be good for another 80+ years so that should see most of us out!

@Chutzpah84 @BathCA Various new signs on way, by tomorrow morning latest, plus people stationed at either end 7-7 to deter rat-running. Sadly, some motorists have been deliberately moving/circumnavigating signs, and even driving the wrong way down The Firs; and thus getting reported to the Police...
