"Without shedding of blood there is no remission" (Hebrews 9:22).
The forgiveness of sins is based on Christ's sacrifice, not on the authority of a priest.
Only Christ shed His blood for the remission of sins.
That is why Scripture says:
"For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5).
And when Jesus forgave sins, the scribes asked:
"Who can forgive sins but God alone?" (Mark 2:7).
The scribes were almost always wrong but were correct about one thing: forgiveness belongs to God. They were wrong because they did not recognize that Jesus is God.
If forgiveness requires the blood of Christ, and only Christ shed His blood for sin, then forgiveness comes from Christ, not from a priest. A minister can preach forgiveness. A believer can announce forgiveness. Only Christ purchased forgiveness with His blood.
@EddieJamro84189 I'm Catholic, and yes we DO worship Mary. Catholocism is not monotheistic, neither is Christianity, and neither is Judaism. What is this big hangup with monotheism
Does the Bible Teach Infant Baptism?
The Bible teaches tut baptism comes after a person believes in Jesus, repents of sin, and chooses to follow Him. Baptism is connected with a personal decision of faith.
1. Faith Comes Before Baptism.
When Philip preached the gospel, the people first believed, then they were baptized.
“But when they believed Philip as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized” (Acts 8:12).
The people heard the message, understood it, believed it, and were baptized.
2. Repentance Comes Before Baptism.
Peter told the crowd on the Day of Pentecost:
“Then Peter said to them, ‘Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit’” (Acts 2:38).
Repentance means recognizing sin and turning to God. That requires understanding and a personal choice.
3. The Bible Never Commands Infant Baptism.
The Bible contains many examples of baptism. There is no verse commanding the baptism of infants. There is also no example that clearly says infants were baptized.
Some point to household baptisms.
The Philippian Jailer
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household” (Acts 16:31-33).
Paul and Silas first preached God's Word to everyone in the house. The passage shows people hearing and responding to the message before baptism.
Lydia's Household.
“And when she and her household were baptized...” (Acts 16:15).
The Bible says her household was baptized. It does not mention infants.
4. The Ethiopian Eunuch Gives a Clear Example.
Before baptism, Philip asked about belief.
“If you believe with all your heart, you may.” (Acts 8:37-38).
The eunuch replied:
“I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”
Then he was baptized. Faith came first.
5. Faith Is Required.
Jesus said:
“He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned” (Mark 16:16).
Belief is connected with baptism throughout the New Testament.
6. Circumcision and Baptism Are Different.
Some teach that baptism took the place of circumcision.
Circumcision was given to male babies in Israel as a sign of belonging to Abraham's family (Genesis 17:12).
Baptism points to a person's union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.
“Therefore, we were buried with Him through baptism into death...” (Romans 6:3-4).
This experience is connected with personal faith in Christ.
7. Salvation Comes Through Faith
The Bible teaches:
“For by grace you have been saved through faith...” (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Baptism is an outward testimony of faith. Salvation comes from God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
8. What About Children?
The Bible gives examples of children being dedicated to God.
Samuel:
“Then I will take him, that he may appear before the Lord and remain there forever” (1 Samuel 1:22).
Jesus:
“They brought Him to Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord” (Luke 2:22).
These examples show parents dedicating their children to God and committing themselves to raise them in His ways.
Conclusion:
The New Testament pattern:
Hear the gospel.
Believe in Christ.
Repent of sin.
Be baptized.
Every example follows this order. The Bible never gives a direct command for infant baptism and never clearly describes an infant being baptized. For that reason, many Christians believe baptism should take place when a person is old enough to understand the gospel and make a personal decision to follow Jesus Christ.
The sunday Christian world will NEVER find TRUE rest without keeping Holy Jesus's eternal 7th day Sabbath
JESUS PROMISES THIS IN HEBREWS 4
and those who do keep the 7th day Sabbath yet don't trust in JESUS 24/7 won't either
HEBREWS 4 also confirms this
Revelation 14:9 Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand,
Revelation 14:10 he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.
Revelation 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”
Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
I believe you that you want every person in the world to be Catholic.
However, if every person in the world wants to be saved, then they must join the Creator God's remnant who keep His commandments - including the fourth one of His seventh day sabbath - and have Jesus Christ's testimony, the spirit of prophecy.
For Catholicism is Lucifer's pagan institution that he instituted to garner worship to himself and counterfeit and mock the Creator God and the host of heaven.
Thus, all who willfully remain in Lucifer's Catholic Church during Sunday observance legislation* will tragically perish when the Creator God destroys it.

*Revelation 13's mark of the beast.
False. You've been taught that by your Catechism.
Jesus sent the apostles to preach repentance and forgiveness of sins, and to declare the terms by which God forgives. He did not give them the power to forgive sins on their own authority.
Only the One who died for your sins has the authority to forgive them.
No priest shed his blood for you. Christ did. That's why forgiveness belongs to Him alone.
