Last time Brahmins relied on government like Kashmiri Pandits, they had to flee their homes.
Today, Brahmins are among most hated communities. They are unnecessarily targeted by state-sponsored social justice activists. Yet, no one stands up for them.
High time Brahmins unite & speak up.

Govt. of Manipur has expressed its reservations to the Centre over a hydro-electric modernization plan in the state’s famous Loktak Lake, saying it could be detrimental to Sangai deer.
Loktak Lake:
1. It is located about 40 kilometers south of Imphal in Bishnupur district, Manipur.
2. It is the largest fresh water lake in the North–East India.
3. It covers 61% of the total identified wetlands of the state.
4. Fishermen living in floating islands called Phumdis in floating huts known as Phumsangs are unique sights of this lake.
5. The world's only floating National Park, Keibul Lamjao National Park is located on this lake. And it is the last natural habitat of the “Sangai” (Rucervus eldii eldii), the dancing deer of Manipur.
6. Like any living organism, the phumdi’s life cycle is regulated by the seasonal fluctuation in water level. In the dry season, they sink to the lake bed where their roots absorb nutrients from the soil. During monsoons they float back to the surface.
7. It plays a significant part in the socio-economic and cultural life of Manipuris. Loktak Day is observed every year on the 15th October at the periphery of the Loktak lake.
a. Poubi Lai, a mythical creature integral to the Meitei belief system, is believed to reside in the heart of the lake.
b. It was on its shores that the beloved Meitei folklore of princess Thoibi and Khamba and their timeless romance came to life.
8. Historical significance: The town of Moirang, on its bank, was the headquarters of the Indian National Army where they established a provisional independent government after defeating the British.
9. It has been designated as a wetland of international importance under the Ramsar Convention in 1990.
10. It is also listed under the Montreux Record in 1993, “a record of Ramsar sites where changes in ecological character have occurred, are occurring or are likely to occur”.
11. Threats: Hydro-power project (1983), pollutants by untreated rivers, increased levels of sediments, etc.
