Rivals of Aether has the best feel of platform fighters I played. It might not have the best sfx/visuals, but I can actually make the character do what I want and control their movement fluidly without having to spend hours in training mode just to be able to do basic actions.

@sillintor No thanks. 20 years of game design/feel advancements have spoiled me. I would like a game that plays like melee but with a more modern design/feel.

You know like a proper training mode, the game actually telling u all the mechanics in the game, etc..
