Last fall was good egg-laying weather for them too..
Absolutely heartbreaking. These centres have been critical in making Canadian Ag the success that it is today, and for developing its future. This represents huge losses to the industry.
My heart goes out to all of the people affected and their communities. ๐

Also wanted to take a moment and say a HUGE thank you to all of the volunteers contributing to the Alberta Ag maps... You folks are all amazing! Almost 300 traps out for bertha armyworm across the province, truly amazing!

Trying to get an idea of where kochia has spread to in the Prairies. If you've got kochia, especially a newer problem, we'd love if you would upload your observation to iNaturalist so we can get a feel just how far it's moved! Please retweet! Project here: https://t.co/NKsImb8kTF
