中国のヒューマノイドロボット大手Unitree RoboticsのIPOに個人投資家の注文が殺到し、募集枠を数千倍上回る申し込みとなった。MarketWatchによると、上海証券取引所STAR Marketへの上場で約9億ドルを調達する計画で、個人投資家向け部分は8000倍を超える応募となった。同社は比較的低価格の四足歩行ロボットと人型ロボットを量産し、中国の「フィジカルAI」産業を象徴する企業として注目されている。

Unitreeは前年に世界最大級のヒューマノイド供給企業となり、2026年前半には競合AgiBotなど中国勢も急成長している。投資家が期待するのは、工場、物流、店舗、家庭などでAIモデルが物理的作業を行う巨大市場だ。ただし現在のロボット需要には研究・教育目的も多く、人間と同じ汎用作業を安定して行える段階ではない。高いIPO人気は、生成AIブームがデータセンターや半導体からロボティクスへ波及していることを示す一方、現時点の売上規模に比べ評価額が急速に膨らむリスクもある。中国では政府支援と大量生産能力を背景に、ヒューマノイド分野で米国企業より先にコスト低下を実現しようとする競争が進んでいる。
