With living and probably sapient things, they need "consent"/a blood contract (iirc they can be forced summoned, but its risky). Non-living and non-sapient things can't give consent, so no need for a contract.

Because you're completely removing the realistic possibility of saving everyone, people will die no matter what and you can't do anything about it. Thus the only consideration is do YOU want to live or die.

@SynthPotato Even if you've know nothing at all about Zelda games, the trailers, advertisement, etc. alone tell you what the general story/goal of the game is. With all I've seen of Crimson Desert, I still have no idea what the story/goal is.
