This was probably the best birthday I’ve ever had and it’s thanks to my amazing friends. 🥹♥️

I was really sad about my birthday this year, I didn’t want to celebrate it…I felt so much resentment for it.🫩

My friends are far away. I felt lonely and unloved. And despite living such a wonderful and blessed life, I wasn’t where I thought I’d be at this age. Which sounds so grateful but sometimes life happens in unexpected ways. And you end up in places where it’s amazing and beautiful but it doesn’t mean you don’t feel grief for the life you dreamt of.

Something about this year felt like my last hope on some of those dreams.
“If it didn’t happen already, then it’s not gonna happen” is what I kept telling myself. Ngl, I cried for few nights before my birthday cause I just didn’t want to face the reality of “it’s too late for me now” 😔😔

But out of the blue, the friends that felt too far, made it feel like they were right here with me. 🥺 I don’t think I’ve ever cried so hard out of happiness and appreciation….ever. They filled the empty space in my heart with so much love and hope.

All the videos, the messages, the art, the flowers, the beautiful thoughtful gifts, it was so overwhelming and I’m so so so grateful ♥️♥️♥️😩 Thank you everyone!!! I don’t think I can put into words how much love I have for all of you, and how much you changed probably the most dreadful day into the best memory I’ll have for the rest of my life 🥺🥺

The effort to put this together … I’m at a loss for words. You guys showed me that no distance is too far for people to show they love you 🥹♥️

Right now in Gaza, families are forced into facing death by bullet or death by hunger. As the man-made famine rages on we would like to share how we are able to provide food in Gaza. While it is not enough, no where near enough, to feed 2 million people, we are able to source and purchase what little food is already within Gaza, and distribute it on a mass scale focusing on the most vulnerable and the most disenfranchised.

We source food that is in the markets from the little aid entering, food kept by traders who would not otherwise release it for sale, and from local farmers who are risking their lives for their harvests.

We distribute the goods to encampments and areas that our team has identified on the ground as receiving no other support. Everyone receives something from that distribution, there is no manufactured competition. Everyone has equal access to our aid, there is no manufactured chaos. We provide with care, with respect, and with dignity in mind.

The occupation’s campaign of starvation is killing people daily. We are doing what we can to combat it, but it’s not enough. Aid must enter in an effective and efficient manner, and as a global community we must put an end to this suffering.

Did you know that the 2 million Palestinians in Gaza are crammed in 25% of the strip?

Many people from Khan Younis were displaced to the Central area making camps extremely overcrowded with multiple families sharing one tent. Finding empty space has become extremely difficult.

Six days a week the Sameer Project provides 16,000 liters of water per day in Central Gaza. The salinity of the water coming from each truck is checked before distribution for all our water campaigns.
