Understand the difference between India and US as a country, the admission process and what the score means. It’s highly unfair the comparison you have drawn and why release of answer key should happen for NEET PG.
Accountability and transparency won’t occur till you don’t demand it.
USMLE is not an isolated one day exam given by 50,000 aspirants.
You can give it anytime of the year - students get different questions.
It tests different MCQs where some MCQs are weighed more, some less and some not even considered.
USMLE STEP 1 is just PASS/FAIL.
And step 2CK is one of the many parameters used to determine how to give a residency spot.
Also, while recall questions aren’t discussed like in India- if a new question or new drugs appear on the exam - they are added to test PREP books / coaching s in US do teach that even in US.
USMLE first aid in 2026 is bulkier because of new things tested - how did they get to know - ofcourse students do tell what was asked even if they don’t recall exact questions.
Also, in USMLE - the exam is 8-9 HOURS Long.
That simply removes your own recall ability.
If someone doesn’t score well - they still can do research, research jobs and many other things to improve their CV.
The world doesn’t end at
India is one day one exam and that exam and that rank unfortunately determines your life for next 50 years.
It’s a brutal zero sum game.
And now Add corruption and low trust society of India to that.
Which is exactly why question and answer key is necessary.
And its int like other exams don’t do that. NEET UG Does, UPSC does.
Why this lack of transparency specifically by NEET PG.
Recalls - ye s- will agree are a gimmick by coaching too. I feel same day recalls are unnecessary- can be done properly after 1-2 weeks but recalls in themselves are not something inherently wrong.
They are a stop gap solution to the lack of transparency.
Stop questioning whether recalls are good or bad.
Start questioning why NEET PG paper and its answer key not be make public.
Especially if NEET UG and UPSC/UPSC CMS is.
Both are bigger exams delivering more accountability.
Demand accountability from Government, not students discussing questions amongst each other.
